Guster成立于1992年的波士顿，当时还在Tufts大学读书的Adam Gardner（吉他、主唱）、Ryan Miller（吉他、主唱）与Brian Rosenworcel（打击乐器）一起组建了日后这个最成功的波士顿乐队。1995年的首张专辑《Parachute》一经出版，其开放的创作理念、完美的和声即为他们夺得了波士顿环球报的最佳本地专辑，第二张专辑《Goldfly》更是被评为年度最佳独立专辑。如今，经历了好评如潮的第三张《Lost and Gone Forever》和第四张《Keep It Together》之后，他们将于6月20日发表第五张录音室专辑《Ganging Up On The Sun》。

同以往一样，《Ganging Up On The Sun》仍然延续他们之前的新迷幻、后Grunge、Lo-Fi等一贯风格。《Satellite》里仍然能听出其一贯优雅的旋律,《Manifest Destiny》流畅的钢琴铺垫则有Ween兄弟一般的戏谑。而在史诗般《Ruby Falls》中，更把迷幻、布鲁斯、清新流行、英式流行等融到了一首歌曲里，却丝毫不显得突兀，其副歌部分可以听出Pink Floyd的影子，而结尾处的萨克斯则是真正的神来之笔。

听罢整张专辑，可以明显感觉到这是一张很“英国”的唱片，而他们也毫不掩饰Beatles、Rolling Stone、Pink Floyd等早期英国乐队对他们的影响。“Gust”是狂风的意思，而Guster则是在炎炎夏日能给你带来阵阵清风的完美雨滴。
